The Tidy Octopus' Service Agreement
We here at The Tidy Octopus are committed to going above and beyond to ensure that all of your needs and expectations are met. Before you hire us, we ask that you read over The Tidy Octopus Service Agreement prior to hiring us.
Deposits & Cancellations
- Cancellations made less than 24 hours before the scheduled service will incur a 100% charge of the service fee.
- Cancellations made between 48 to 24 hours before the scheduled service will incur a charge of 50% of the service fee.
- Cancellations made more than 48 hours before the scheduled service will not incur any charges.
One-time cleanings and Move-In or Move-Out cleanings require a 65% non-refundable deposit to secure your preferred date and time.
Safety Measures During the Pandemic
Ensuring the safety of our employees and clients during the pandemic is our top priority. All employees are required to conduct a COVID-19 self-assessment before the start of each shift. If any COVID-19 symptoms are present, employees must stay at home.
If you experience any COVID-19 symptoms, please notify us immediately by texting or calling our office number (949) 478-2410 to reschedule your service for a later date. Notification must be received by 7:00 AM or as soon as symptoms are detected.
COVID-19 symptoms include chills or fever higher than 100°F, sore throat, loss of taste or appetite, shortness of breath, cough, congestion or runny nose, nausea or vomiting, and diarrhea.
Additionally, please ensure the following:
- You have not been in contact with someone who has tested positive for COVID-19.
- You have not been placed in quarantine or been in contact with someone who has been asked to quarantine.
Biohazard Policy
We reserve the right to decline a cleaning job upon arrival if any unreported biohazards are present at the location, such as blood, human or animal feces, medical waste, or any other substances. In such cases, the cleaning service will be marked as completed, and payment will be processed in full.
Conditions of Service and Home
We expect the home to be reasonably picked up to facilitate cleaning. Additional tasks such as dishes, tidying up, and straightening bed sheets are available upon request for an extra charge.
For window cleaning, we do not remove screens but will wipe them down. If screens are removed by the client, we will gladly clean them. Please note that screens can break easily, and we are not responsible for any damages.
Payment Policy
For recurring services, your credit card will be charged 24 hours before the service date. Appointments are confirmed only with a credit card or prepayment. Any additional time used for cleaning, which was pre-approved, will result in an additional charge processed immediately after approval.
Service Specifications
Please refer to the cleaning checklist on our website to understand which areas of your home will be cleaned. If an area is not listed, please discuss any special requests with our sales representative before the service begins, as there may be a price adjustment.
Pricing Adjustment Policy
Prices are based on an accurate assessment of your home’s condition. If the condition is found to be inconsistent with the description provided, we will contact you to discuss a price increase. If we are unable to reach you, we will only stay for the original scope of service, compromising the quality of service.
Home Activity Policy
While we strive to work around any activity in the home, we recommend minimizing interruptions during our cleaning sessions. Excessive interruptions may result in an insufficient completion of tasks. Additional tasks may need to be adjusted accordingly.
Maintenance Cleaning
Our Maintenance cleaning service is only available and recommended for Weekly, Biweekly, and Monthly services. We personalize your cleaning plan based on your needs and preferences and follow it consistently.
Access Policy
Our service time begins upon arrival. If we have to wait for access to the home, there will be less time available for cleaning, and additional charges may apply at our discretion.
Unfair Competition Policy
Clients are prohibited from directly soliciting our employees for work. Please contact our office to book our staff again.
Collections Policy
Full payment is due at the time of service. Failure to make payment may result in additional fees associated with your account. Nonpayment or declined credit cards may result in collection actions.
Satisfaction Guarantee
We stand by the quality of our work. If you are not satisfied for any reason, please contact our office within 24 hours for a re-clean of the unsatisfactory areas.
Precautions for Pets
When pets are inside the home, we take precautions to ensure their safety by keeping doors closed. Please keep pets with you or in a safe place during our cleaning.
Service Hours
Our cleaners work from 8 AM to 6 PM. If additional time is required beyond 6 PM, availability will be confirmed with the cleaner, and additional charges may apply.
Schedule Adjustments
Our schedule may be subject to full capacity daily. If the service is scheduled for the morning and additional time is needed, we will coordinate with the next customer for a later arrival.
Cleaning Product Policy
Non-toxic or green cleaning products are recommended for standard and maintenance cleanings. However, if non-toxic products are requested for deep cleaning, additional time may be required to remove stains or heavy build-up.
Accidental Breakage
When we clean your home we clean with the utmost care, and assume that your shower doors and fixtures are up to standard quality. If your fixtures (i.e. glass doors, sinks, faucets, etc) break in the scope of our cleaning we are not liable for any damage caused by pre-existing conditions or poor glass quality and will not facilitate to their replacement or repair.
Confirmation of Agreement
By signing this agreement, confirming your appointment, and allowing our staff to work at your home or office, you agree to the terms outlined above.
